Navratri –
Nav = 9, Ratri = nights. These 9 nights are Devine nights to achieve. Doesn’t matter what, your may achieve power, money, name, fame, peace, prosperity etc but also may achieve crime, guilt, conspiracy, offence as well. The power is same but depends how the users are. Navratri is specially for Goddess Durga, as every one needs her power. But if you see the facts stated in Markandey Puran, (Devi Mahatmya, Mahishasur Vadh, chaper -2) Goddess Durga was the incarnation of the combine power of Visnu & Shiva. Then everyone gave his/her power to Durga. She is thus the combination of all Gods, Goddesses and their powers. A few people know that Navratri is the night to awake for the Gods & Goddesses.
